Fandom: Slayers
Rating: G
Genre: Vignette

Notes/Warnings: Done for "“the most ill-regulated memory" @ 31_days. Lina/Gourry
Summary: Gourry's memory.

Lina was telling him something about magic and he was listening. "But, you probably don't remember the Lord of Nightmares, do you Gourry?"

She was wrong. He remembered standing in a cave lit by the glow of some magic... thing... that looked like Lina. It said she had called it, that her soul, all that she was had been consumed by it. Zelgadis and Amelia and even Xellos looked cowed by it, so it had to be powerful -- they would know.

But, to hell with that! It was trying to leave, and it had Lina. Sure, he might die if he followed it, but he would die if he let her slip through his hands, it would just take longer. Things were fuzzy then, but he had gotten her back, and that was what was important.

He grinned. "Nope. Don't remember a thing. Tell it to me again, Lina?"
