Drawn for MAX's special alternate setting round, I decided to re-envision Ashen Skye's fantasy comic as a 19th century historical drama. With elves. (Hey, it worked for Naomi Novik and Susanna Clarke.)

For the commander of the Alkenan army (or one of them) and his friend the naval captain, I decided to go with a early-19th century uniform feel, since I'm rather fond of the look myself. Took inspiration from British uniforms, but these aren't exact copies.
