Sibling Rivalry [A:tLA, Suki, Sokka & Katara, G]
Oddly enough, someone else did a Sokka and Suki story about this theme.

Title: Sibling Rivalry
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Rating: G
Genre: Comedy
Words: 370
Notes/Warnings: Minor Sokka/Suki.
Summary: The gang relaxes after Aang asks them to help at the Southern Air Temple.
Disclaimer: Avatar: The Last Airbender copyright Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko/Nickelodeon and this derivative work was created without permission.

Suki had been enjoying the view from the top of the temple, and doing some exercises that Ty Lee had claimed would help improve balance. The chill winter air made it difficult to concentrate and she was about to find out what the rest of the group had been doing, when she heard the sounds of someone climbing the ladder in a hurry. She hurried the muffled slosh of a canteen hitting the tiles, then saw Sokka stick his head up and follow it. He was out of breath, which was unusual. As he panted, his breath crystalized around him like fog. "What have you been doing?" she asked. "You're huffing like Appa. Have you and Aang finished clearing out the rubble in the courtyard.

"Hey, Suki," Sokka stumbled over to her and gave her a quick peck on the check. "Yeah, we're done, but the girls challenged us to a snowball fight. We couldn't find you, so it was just Aang and me."

Suki raised an eyebrow. "And you didn't think that fighting a waterbender with snow would be a bit... unfair? Even if Aang can bend back."

"I know, right? But we got a plan." Sokka grinned. "Aang's going to keep the girls pinned down while I work my way over the roof. They won't expect an attack from above when Aang's pinned down. And they can't carry in water or snow inside without it ending as a soppy mess, especially since I took Katara's waterskin."

Another set of footsteps on the ladder, and the two turned to see Katara facing them. "Give me back my waterskin, Sokka."

"Not until you agree that we won the snowball fight," Sokka said back, reminding Suki of some of the heated sparring matches she got in with some of the girls she grew up with, people that were her sisters in all but blood. Something about siblings just made you a bit crazy.

"Who won?" And then Katara gathered the ice in their breaths around them. It wasn't much, but it was enough to cover Sokka's face in frost.
