Michaelangelo knew he was going to die.
Even before Assessment, treason had carried the death penalty. Here, where every human who died meant another child could be born, it wasn't debatable. As he paced his cell, the details of his crime would spread to every Governor in contact, as knowledge and as a warning. And, with it, came Kii, who would take down the Governors to protect 'his' planet full of amazons.
The waiting was the worse part. If he had to die, he wanted to know he was taking them down with him.
