Any time he travelled, Joshua Christopher would write postcards. When he returned home, he'd carefully take them out, and bind them into the book he kept on his desk. If anyone asked -- not that many did, as most people assumed it was just a method of keeping souvenirs -- he would tell them, "When I was a kid, my older sister and I said we'd be explorers together. But she died before I grew up. This is my way of letting her see all the places I've been that she never got to go."
