The Fire We Carry [A:tLA, Iroh, G]
Title: The Fire We Carry
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Rating: G
Genre: Vignette
Words: 100
Notes/Warnings: Done for "baggage" @ theavatar100
Summary: All benders carry their elements with them.
Disclaimer: Avatar: The Last Airbender copyright Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko/Nickelodeon and this derivative work was created without permission.

Every bender carries a bit of his element within him. Not in the way that a waterbender carried a waterskin, but inside -- flames of the heart, burning as hotly as body heat. Zuko's tie to fire was clear when he stormed about, a banked flame under the sand and water of dishonor. Azula, however, was a full-out wildfire -- beautiful, but a cold force of destruction. As for himself, Iroh used to think he was a blacksmith's forge -- equally adept at beating out swords or plowshares. Now, he'd be just as happy as the campfire under his teapot
