The snow of Winters crunched beneath Ness's sneakers as the three of them left the lab. He noticed Paula had a slight red glow around her as she used her psychic fire for something other than roasting enemies, and thought about asking her to try it on him. Even in the coats borrowed from Doctor Andonuts, it was cold -- if he had known this would be longer than a short stop, he would have stopped home in Onett to get something other than shorts. Summers would be wonderful after this.

"We're almost there." Jeff said, walking ahead, snow clinging to the cuffs of his pants. "At least it's a nice day today. The snow's melting -- we might even have a clear couple of months around July."

If that was normal summer Winters weather, Ness thought, he made a note to never see a winter in Winters.
