They had been called to the western part of the state to check out a report. It was a hot day, and Rosette's driving was frantic as always, and they were forced to pull over along the road to let the engine cool.
"Where's Azmaria?" Chrno asked, lugging a pail of water.
"Don't know -- we better go find her."
Neither saw her in the fields, and Rosette suggested they check the gorge, in case she had fallen.
Azmaria was seated by the stream, a bouquet of wildflowers nearby, watching the rainbow from the falls. "Isn't it pretty?" she asked.
